If you’ve ever caught yourself asking, “Wait… did I do that already?” — this post is for you.
Over the last several days, I’ve been working on a new mobile app called Did I Do That?, and it’s finally reached the point where I need real people using it in the real world.
Before I can publish the app to the Google Play Store for everyone, Google requires at least 12 Android testers to use the app for 14 consecutive days. That’s where I’m hoping some of you can help.
What Is Did I Do That?
Most task or to-do apps focus on things you do every day. This one is for the things you do once in a while — and then promptly forget.
Think about tasks like:
-
Changing your furnace or HVAC filter
-
Testing smoke detector batteries
-
Getting your car’s oil changed
-
Scheduling pet vaccinations or vet visits
-
Replacing water filters
-
Anything that makes you wonder later, “Did I already take care of that?”
Did I Do That? lets you:
-
Track infrequent or recurring tasks
-
Record the last time something was done
-
Set reminders so you don’t forget again
-
Quickly answer that nagging question without guessing
The goal is simple: less mental clutter and fewer “oops” moments.
Why I Need Testers
To move forward with public release on Android, I need:
-
At least 12 testers
-
14 days of active usage
-
Feedback on bugs, usability, and anything confusing or annoying
You don’t need to be a developer. You don’t need to do anything fancy. Just install the app, use it naturally, and let me know what works — and what doesn’t.
How to Join
If you have an Android phone and are willing to help test:
-
e-mail me at pcnerd37@globalgeekenews.com and tell me your gmail address you use for your Google Play account
-
Or reach out to me directly on X/Twitter, Mastodon, BlueSky, or LinkedIn
-
I’ll send you instructions on how to join the closed test
Your help would genuinely mean a lot. This app exists because I needed it — and I’m hoping it can help others too.
Thanks for supporting my projects, as always. 🚀
