One of my favorite ways to spend a Saturday night as at the symphony, especially when they are playing the music to a movie I love. However, in this case its to a movie I had never even seen before.
I have to admit, I have never seen either Top Gun movie before last night. I’ve heard some of the music and even played the Top Gun game on NES as a kid, but this was my first time ever seeing one of the movies.
Last night, I went and saw Top Gun Maverick in concert performed by the Colorado Springs Philharmonic. And I have to say, for not being the biggest Tom Cruise fan in the world (really just because of his Scientology crap), I absolutely loved the movie! I thought it was fantastic! And to have the music played live along with the movie was incredible.
If you haven’t seen the movie, I highly recommend it! And if you get the chance to see it with a local orchestra, going is a must!
