• 6:31 PM pcnerd37 - Tonight is the first hour of the 3 hour series finale. It looks to be a great show.

• 6:36 PM pcnerd37 - I haven’t managed to find any real BSG related news, so if anybody has any links, feel free to post them in the comments.
• 6:37 PM pcnerd37 - The schedule for next week is as follows.
• 6:37 PM pcnerd37 - Tonight’s episode will re-air before and after the final 2 hour episode next week
• 6:38 PM pcnerd37 - The first hour (tonights show) will be shown at 8pm EST followed by the final 2 hours of the series finale at 9pm EST
• 6:38 PM pcnerd37 - Tonights show will then air yet again after the final 2 hours.

• 7:03 PM pcnerd37 - We see various images of the galaxy, earth, a bird, water and a city that is apparently Caprica City before the fall.
• 7:03 PM pcnerd37 - We see Adama talking to somebody
• 7:04 PM pcnerd37 - Apparently its Adama getting his mission on Galactica
• 7:04 PM pcnerd37 - We now see Baltar and the six riding in a limo talking while she feels him up.
• 7:05 PM pcnerd37 - This seems to be when Baltar and Caprica Six are first getting to know eachother.
• 7:05 PM pcnerd37 - The limo phone is ringing and he answers.
• 7:05 PM pcnerd37 - Something is clearly wrong
• 7:05 PM pcnerd37 - Apparently somebody is leaving him and he isnt happy
• 7:06 PM pcnerd37 - Now we see Roslin and somebody that she was throwing a baby shower for.
• 7:06 PM pcnerd37 - A drink is being shared with two other women including the pregnant mother to be.
• 7:06 PM pcnerd37 - Apparently they are her sisters.
• 7:07 PM pcnerd37 - Younger sisters.
• 7:07 PM pcnerd37 - We now see Starbuck cooking as somebody comes to the door.
• 7:07 PM pcnerd37 - She answers and it is Lee.
• 7:07 PM pcnerd37 - I will say she is looking especially nice tonight.
• 7:08 PM pcnerd37 - We see Zack, Lees dead brother
• 7:09 PM pcnerd37 - We now see Baltar. Apparently his dead stabbed some lady, likely a maid.
• 7:09 PM pcnerd37 - He tries to bribe her to stay but fails.
• 7:09 PM pcnerd37 - She was a nurse.
• 7:09 PM pcnerd37 - Apparently this is the third nurse that his dad has chased off.
• 7:10 PM pcnerd37 - Baltar is tired of his crap and starts hitting him with a newspaper.
• 7:10 PM pcnerd37 - He tells his dad exactly what he thinks of him.
• 7:10 PM pcnerd37 - He is now getting irritated at Caprica Six who was supposed to stay in the car. He tells her to leave.
• 7:11 PM pcnerd37 - Back again with Roslin. She is answering the door. Two cops are there.
• 7:11 PM pcnerd37 - Its looking like somebody has died.
• 7:12 PM pcnerd37 - An accident has happened, her sisters and father were killed the previous night in a car accident. They were killed by a drunk driver.
• 7:12 PM pcnerd37 - She tells them to leave.
• 7:12 PM pcnerd37 - She now seems to be cleaning up before looking at a picture of all of them.
• 7:13 PM pcnerd37 - She walks out of the house.
• 7:13 PM pcnerd37 - She seems to be walking through a park.
• 7:13 PM pcnerd37 - She is looking into a pool before getting in and walking towards a fountain as everybody around stares at her.
• 7:14 PM pcnerd37 - Finally back on Galactica, we see her on an I.V.
• 7:14 PM pcnerd37 - The Doc stops in to check on her as we now see Lee in the hanger.
• 7:15 PM pcnerd37 - He seems to be in charge tearing Galactica apart and giving the parts to the other ships.
• 7:15 PM pcnerd37 - A crewman tries to stop them from taking a part and Lee caves and says that it should be the last part taken.
• 7:16 PM pcnerd37 - Commercial.
• 7:19 PM pcnerd37 - We should be back any second.
• 7:19 PM pcnerd37 - We are back!
• 7:19 PM pcnerd37 - We see Adama boxing up all of his stuff.
• 7:19 PM pcnerd37 - Kind of a sad moment.
• 7:20 PM pcnerd37 - He is being relocated to the cylon base ship.
• 7:20 PM pcnerd37 - We now see Baltar being talked to by one of his women followers.
• 7:20 PM pcnerd37 - He is being told by his follower and his six that the end times are approaching and humanities final chapter is about to be written.
• 7:21 PM pcnerd37 - We see Baltar and a woman on his place back on Caprica. Caprica Six is there waiting for him.
• 7:21 PM pcnerd37 - He wants to know why she is there while he tells his lady friend directions to his bedroom.
• 7:21 PM pcnerd37 - He threatens to call the cops. She stands up from the chair but says nothing.
• 7:21 PM pcnerd37 - He starts to call the cops when she says she found his dad a new place to live.
• 7:22 PM pcnerd37 - She seems to have found a great assisted living facility for him.
• 7:22 PM pcnerd37 - Supposedly he loves it.
• 7:23 PM pcnerd37 - He doesnt seem to know what to say. She says he is happy and leaves.
• 7:23 PM pcnerd37 - We now see Kara rapping a pen while looking at music and some math formulas
• 7:23 PM pcnerd37 - We see sam in a coma.
• 7:23 PM pcnerd37 - Apparently she is trying to figure out the secret to the music.
• 7:24 PM pcnerd37 - Saul is giving orders in the CIC. Adama is going to take the final raptor off of Galactica.
• 7:24 PM pcnerd37 - The chief and Helo are talking through the jail cell.
• 7:25 PM pcnerd37 - The chief is talking about the skinjobs and how they aren’t real people and how they can’t be trusted.
• 7:25 PM pcnerd37 - The phone is hung up
• 7:25 PM pcnerd37 - we now see what is apparently the cylon colony that John is trying to interrogate Hera who apparently hasnt eaten in days and wants her mother.
• 7:26 PM pcnerd37 - He says that the future of the cylon race is in her genetic code and that they should start trying to get that secret from her.
• 7:26 PM pcnerd37 - Commercial.
• 7:26 PM pcnerd37 - I want to thank everybody for joining tonight and say that you can comment down below. Any questions you have, I will do my best to answer.
• 7:29 PM pcnerd37 - We are back.
• 7:29 PM pcnerd37 - Apparently people are taking photos from the memory wall.
• 7:30 PM pcnerd37 - A crewman is telling Adama that there are still some photos left on the memory wall of people long forgotten.
• 7:30 PM pcnerd37 - Adama starts looking on the memory wall and sees a picture of Sharon with Hera and then he walks away.
• 7:31 PM pcnerd37 - He is just standing in a door way before looking back and heading back toward the picture.
• 7:31 PM pcnerd37 - He pulls it off the wall and looks at it. He seems to have a determined look on his face.
• 7:31 PM pcnerd37 - Baltar seems to be trying to talk to Lee. Apparently he wants a voice on the quorum as it is best for the fleet.
• 7:32 PM pcnerd37 - He wants to discuss it and Lee tells him he has 5 minutes to convince him.
• 7:32 PM pcnerd37 - We now see Adama and Kara hovering above Sam.
• 7:32 PM pcnerd37 - He sees his work on the musical notes.
• 7:33 PM pcnerd37 - He asks her about what Baltar said about her back on earth.
• 7:33 PM pcnerd37 - She says its true.
• 7:33 PM pcnerd37 - She tells how she disposed of the body and says she doesnt know what she is.
• 7:33 PM pcnerd37 - Adama wants to know if she knows how to plug Sam in.
• 7:33 PM pcnerd37 - He says he knows what she is, his daughter and that she shouldnt forget that.
• 7:34 PM pcnerd37 - She plugs him in.
• 7:34 PM pcnerd37 - We now see Sam back on earth relaxing in some kind of steel bath tub while giving an interview to a sports reporter.
• 7:35 PM pcnerd37 - He tells the reporter he doesnt care about winning or championships or anything. He cares about the perfect throw and block. Its about the moments of perfection.
• 7:35 PM pcnerd37 - Back on Galactica, he seems to be rambling like all hybrids.
• 7:36 PM pcnerd37 - Adama tells her to ask him a question.
• 7:36 PM pcnerd37 - Commercial.
• 7:40 PM pcnerd37 - We are back
• 7:40 PM pcnerd37 - We now see Baltar talking to Lee.
• 7:40 PM pcnerd37 - Baltar is willing to do anything he can to make their new life a good one and all he asks is to have representation as he has thousands of followers.
• 7:41 PM pcnerd37 - He says no because he doesn’t like Baltar.
• 7:42 PM pcnerd37 - He is asking Baltar what redeeming qualities he has and Baltar says he wouldnt trust him either and then he walks out.
• 7:42 PM pcnerd37 - We now see Lee back on Caprica completely drunk.
• 7:42 PM pcnerd37 - He seems to be chasing a pidgeon through his house.
• 7:43 PM pcnerd37 - He is casing it with a broom and breaking things like lamps in the process.
• 7:43 PM pcnerd37 - We now see him back on Galactica.
• 7:43 PM pcnerd37 - Adama and Kara are taping off part of what looks like the hanger or launch tube or something.
• 7:43 PM pcnerd37 - He asks for everybody’s attention.
• 7:44 PM pcnerd37 - He is talking about Hera. He is saying that he is going to try to do a rescue mission for Hera. Apparently Sam told him something like where Hera is.
• 7:44 PM pcnerd37 - Ellen and Torrie are talking about the mission while walking down the hall.
• 7:45 PM pcnerd37 - Lee is making a call saying that Adama is looking for volunteers.
• 7:45 PM pcnerd37 - Tigh is giving orders to the CIC about what is going on.
• 7:46 PM pcnerd37 - Helo and Athena are talking about Hera and what could be done with her by the time they get there.
• 7:46 PM pcnerd37 - He is optimistic while she isnt so much. He says she is wrong and leaves.
• 7:46 PM pcnerd37 - Commercial.
• 7:47 PM pcnerd37 - I can’t say I care for tonight’s episode. It feels like filler.
• 7:49 PM pcnerd37 - We are back
• 7:50 PM pcnerd37 - We see Roslin talking to somebody on the phone on Caprica.
• 7:50 PM pcnerd37 - Apparently she has become a bit of a shut in and is defending her actions to somebody.
• 7:50 PM pcnerd37 - Apparently somebody is trying to talk her into joining a campaign
• 7:51 PM pcnerd37 - The calls ends.
• 7:51 PM pcnerd37 - We now see her on Galactica putting on her wig while sitting up in bed.
• 7:51 PM pcnerd37 - She is getting up.
• 7:51 PM pcnerd37 - We now see Adama giving a speach to the Galactica crew and that the mission is entirely voluntary.
• 7:52 PM pcnerd37 - If there aren’t enough people willing to command Galactica, he will lead a group of raptors into battle.
• 7:52 PM pcnerd37 - He says the mission is likely a one way trip.
• 7:52 PM pcnerd37 - He points out the line of tape on the deck. Volunteers to one side, everybody else to the other.
• 7:53 PM pcnerd37 - He looks out and sees the division.
• 7:54 PM pcnerd37 - He tells everybody to make their choice. People are now starting to go over to the volunteer side including the Doc, Lee, the cylons and others but Adama turns the doc back saying they cant afford to lose him.
• 7:54 PM pcnerd37 - Everybody is shuffling around and it seems everybody is on the side they are going to be but Baltar seems uncertain.
• 7:55 PM pcnerd37 - Roslin appears on the deck and seems to be siding with Adama. She doesnt want him leaving without her.
• 7:55 PM pcnerd37 - She can barely walk but is standing with Kara.
• 7:55 PM pcnerd37 - We now see a raptor jump into a asteroid field.
• 7:56 PM pcnerd37 - Dradus seems to be picking up a singularity, likely a black hole and they are being sucked toward it.
• 7:56 PM pcnerd37 - Spinning up the FTL drive…
• 7:56 PM pcnerd37 - They seem to have seen the colony.
• 7:57 PM pcnerd37 - Lee and Kara are briefing everybody on the place of the colony and the risks of the singularity.
• 7:57 PM pcnerd37 - There only seems to be one way in and out.
• 7:57 PM pcnerd37 - Adama seems to give the go ahead.
• 7:57 PM pcnerd37 - And that is the show.

Battlestar Galactica finale (part 1) Live blog Tonight!

Hey Readers!

Just a heads up, I am fully healed up and back to 100% so I am without a doubt, live blogging tonight’s Battlestar Galactica finale (the first part).  The live blog will begin at 10pm EST although like always, I will probably start things up around 30 min early.  Also, I plan on live blogging part 2 next week which I have checked and will begin at 9pm EST and be 2 hours long.

If you have any links you want to share for discussion tonight, feel free to post them in the comments on either this post or the actual live blog and I will make sure to share and talk about them.

Oh, and before I forget, I am sticking with the same live blogging software for both this week and next.  I am thinking about other shows I am going to live blog in which case I might switch to another service if I find one I like better.

Hey readers!

Moments ago, I looked down into my system tray to find that Steam was cranking away at something.  Not thinking it should be doing anything unless it was updating a game or something, I decided to hover over the Steam icon and see what it was doing.  To my amazement, I was downloading at speeds I once thought impossible.  Here is the pic:

Of course I know this is a bug, but I was kind of excited when I saw I was downloading anything at the speed of  66,725,436MB/s.  Has this ever happened to you?

I hate being sick

Hey readers!

Sorry I didn’t post like expected last week, especially my favorite links like I wanted to get started.  Unforunately I have had the stomach flu and have probably spent more time in the bathroom over the past week than I have with my computer.

It all kind of started on Monday.  My stomach felt uneasy most of Monday but I figured it was due to tight jeans and thought nothing of it.  By Monday night I could tell I was catching something and went to bed around 9:30pm (I normally never go to bed before 11pm).  I woke up around 11:30pm with some wicked heartburn.  It seemed to be from my typical Monday night pizza which is not uncommon when they put a ton of sauce on the pizza, but they didn’t do that this time.  There was actually very little sauce so I found it a bit odd.  Like usual, I popped some tums and hoped they would work.  When they didn’t work, I tried some more which still didn’t work, so I tried some acid medication I have which still had no effect and even took a swig of the pink stuff with still no effect.  I ended up awake all night and miserable with some of the worst heartburn ever.  Over the next 24 hours it would go away, but when I “woke up” Tuesday morning, I found myself with a major case of the craps.  Those in turn were about every 15-20 minutes or so for a couple of days until they finally slowed to once an hour and then only in the mornings and as of Sunday, to nothing.  Unfortunately it didn’t end there.

On Since Thursday, something strange has been going on with my esophagus.  Everytime I swallow anything, whether its water or food, it feels like I am being stabbed in the chest.  It makes it near impossible to eat or drink anything without the thought of jumping off a bridge first.  On Friday, I went to the doctor with this being my primary complaint.  I can live with the occasional case of the craps, but not with this.  The doctor seemed to think it was maybe an irritation caused by some vomiting that I did on Wednesday (I forgot to mention that).  He gave me a prescription for some stuff that is supposed to coat my esophagus so I can eat and drink without a problem.  Sounded like a great idea, except the stuff doesnt seem to work at all.  Now my stomach feels unconfortable when I swallow something, on top of the pain I am experiencing with my esophagus.  So now I am headed back into the doctor at 1:45pm today to either get some other medicine or try to find out what is actually wrong with me.  I’m praying its nothing serious.

At this point, I just want to be well again.  Although I am there today, I missed work last week for everybody but Monday when this all slowly started.  Feeling like this and not being able to make money is not a fun thing.  Hopefully this will end soon as I want to get back into the swing of things.  With the exception  my Battlestar Galactica Live Blog, I have done almost nothing else online over the past week other than the occasional tweet.  No podcasts or anything.  I haven’t even listened to but one or two podcasts so I am very far behind on them.  I am working on getting the podcasts up that we have already recorded but I never got around to putting up.  I just put one up and am about to begin editing on the second.  You can find those at GlobalGeekNews.com

Anyway, that is all from me for now.  I will likely post more soon as I feel like it.

• 8:29 PM pcnerd37 - Before I get any comments, I have been sick all week (still am) and haven’t felt like trying the other live blogging service to compare it to this one. Hopefully I will feel better next week to give it a real test and hopefully use it here next week.

• 9:02 PM pcnerd37 - Now we see a human and a six arguing about the ship repairs as the ship continues to crack.
• 9:02 PM pcnerd37 - Ellen is talking to Lee, Kara, Adama and the cylons.
• 9:03 PM pcnerd37 - Apparently she wants them to jump after Hera as the last hope for the cylons and maybe humans.
• 9:03 PM pcnerd37 - Kara is telling everybody about the music that Hera wrote.
• 9:04 PM pcnerd37 - She says its destiny but Adama is sick of destiny.
• 9:04 PM pcnerd37 - He seems to be sick of everything.
• 9:04 PM pcnerd37 - Tigh is arguing for a recon bird to check it out.
• 9:04 PM pcnerd37 - Adama gives the go ahead to take a heavy raider as long as Athena and Helo dont find out about it.
• 9:05 PM pcnerd37 - We now see Helo and Athena apparently having a fight. He wants her to say that she hates him.
• 9:05 PM pcnerd37 - Now we see Hera running through the opera house again.
• 9:05 PM pcnerd37 - The same scene as in the past with the Six, Baltar and the president.
• 9:06 PM pcnerd37 - Apparently it was Roslin having the dream about it.
• 9:06 PM pcnerd37 - We continue to see Galactica rip apart. A hull rupture has many holding on for their life.
• 9:07 PM pcnerd37 - The section was sealed off but not before at least one of the Athena look alikes gets shot out into space

• 9:11 PM pcnerd37 - Medical staff seems to be doing all they can.

• 9:12 PM pcnerd37 - Tigh and Adama are talking about the ship and moving command to the base ship which Adama refuses to do. Tigh will supervise repairs.
• 9:12 PM pcnerd37 - Adama is now at Roslin’s side who continues to have visions of the opera house.
• 9:13 PM pcnerd37 - Lee is telling the quorum or whatever its called now that command is likely to be transfered to the base ship.
• 9:14 PM pcnerd37 - They don’t like it at all. They don’t want their safety to be taken care of by cylons.
• 9:14 PM pcnerd37 - Now they are all fighting about who gets what parts from Galactica.
• 9:14 PM pcnerd37 - Lee says nobody is getting any parts from Galactica until Adama says so.
• 9:14 PM pcnerd37 - They want to know what Baltar has to say about everything.
• 9:14 PM pcnerd37 - We now hear one of his broadcasts.
• 9:15 PM pcnerd37 - He is talking about angels.
• 9:15 PM pcnerd37 - He is chasing down a Caprica Six.
• 9:15 PM pcnerd37 - He offers her condolances for her loss.
• 9:15 PM pcnerd37 - He offers her a place to stay. She refuses.
• 9:16 PM pcnerd37 - She says that he hasn’t really changed but she has.
• 9:16 PM pcnerd37 - We now see repairs happening outside of Galactica.
• 9:17 PM pcnerd37 - Now in the infirmary. The doc tells Tigh that one of the Athena copies wants to speak to him before she dies.
• 9:17 PM pcnerd37 - She is happy to have met her father before she dies.
• 9:17 PM pcnerd37 - She says he spent most of his life trying to kill her kind. She says “too much confusion” and then dies.
• 9:18 PM pcnerd37 - We now see Hera and Boomer. Hera is crying and Boomer is sick of it and is about to inject her with some kind of sedative to shut her up.
• 9:18 PM pcnerd37 - She appears to have stopped.
• 9:18 PM pcnerd37 - Commercial.

• 9:21 PM pcnerd37 - Assuming nothing unexpected pops up, I will be live blogging the BSG series finale which begins next week.
• 9:21 PM pcnerd37 - And we are back.
• 9:22 PM pcnerd37 - Tigh is looking for some alcohol who finds and empty bottle and breaks it against the wall as Ellen tries to talk to him.
• 9:22 PM pcnerd37 - He says that the BSG crew is the only family he has ever known and cares about.
• 9:23 PM pcnerd37 - She says that he was married to her 2000 years before he ever met Adama but he says that is just a number because he doesn’t remember it.
• 9:23 PM pcnerd37 - She reminds him he is a cylon and that without Hera, there is no hope for the Cylons.
• 9:23 PM pcnerd37 - She tries to tell him that he is the father of all cylons.
• 9:24 PM pcnerd37 - Back with Boomer and Hera, she is trying to feed him what I assume are field rations.
• 9:24 PM pcnerd37 - She tells Hera what she does when she is sad. She tells him about the house that was for her and the Chief.
• 9:25 PM pcnerd37 - Hera can apparently project and is now in the house.
• 9:25 PM pcnerd37 - We now see Baltar shaving with Kara watching him.
• 9:25 PM pcnerd37 - She asks him if he believes the stuff he says about Angles that he was talking about on the wireless.
• 9:26 PM pcnerd37 - He says she sees them with regularity (the six in his mind).
• 9:26 PM pcnerd37 - Kara begins to tell him about being dead on Earth.
• 9:26 PM pcnerd37 - She is trying to find answers.
• 9:27 PM pcnerd37 - She wants him to find out what is going on as she hands him her dog tags from earth and leaves.
• 9:27 PM pcnerd37 - We now see some sort of vision of her going from Galactica to a cylon ship with a hybrid. The hybrid appears to be sam.
• 9:28 PM pcnerd37 - Apparently they are not in a cylon ship, its a Galactica room made to look like a cylon ship complete with the bath that the hybrid stays in.
• 9:28 PM pcnerd37 - She chases the Athena copy out of the room and starts talking to Sam. She really wants him back.
• 9:29 PM pcnerd37 - He still seems to be in a Coma.
• 9:30 PM pcnerd37 - She pulls out a pistol to shoot him because she wants to remember him for what he was when he suddenly wakes up, grabs her arm before she can shoot him and starts spouting off random gibberish like the typical hybrids.
• 9:30 PM pcnerd37 - He again repeats that she will lead them all to their doom.
• 9:30 PM pcnerd37 - Commercial.
• 9:31 PM pcnerd37 - We seem to be having a good showing so far on the live blog but nowhere near last weeks numbers.
• 9:32 PM pcnerd37 - How is everybody liking the show so far tonight?
• 9:33 PM pcnerd37 - It is very fast moving tonight. Its even more annoying when trying to live blog it.
• 9:33 PM pcnerd37 - We are back.
• 9:33 PM pcnerd37 - Adama seems to be reading a story to Roslin.
• 9:33 PM pcnerd37 - Some like a detective novel.
• 9:33 PM pcnerd37 - She tells him to turn to page 61
• 9:34 PM pcnerd37 - Some medicinal marijuana falls out and she lights up. She says that the doc won’t mind but Adama pulls the curtain anyway.
• 9:35 PM pcnerd37 - She tells him what she is thinking about. Apparently she is thinking about a cabin she wanted to build in the mountains.
• 9:35 PM pcnerd37 - She continues to talk about her past and dreams.
• 9:36 PM pcnerd37 - She said that she has never really felt at home until the past couple of months with Adama.
• 9:36 PM pcnerd37 - She talks about his love for the ship.
• 9:37 PM pcnerd37 - We now see Baltar scraping some samples from the dog tags and looking at them under a microscope.
• 9:37 PM pcnerd37 - We now see Tight, Kara, a six and an Athena clone talking around Sam
• 9:38 PM pcnerd37 - Apparently he is apparently in control of the ship. Tigh doesn’t like this so he has him taken offline.
• 9:39 PM pcnerd37 - Apparently the colony that they were trying to find to help them find Hera has been moved and Ellen doesnt know where to.
• 9:39 PM pcnerd37 - We briefly see Boomer and Hera in the house before we see Helo catch up with Adama walking through the halls.
• 9:40 PM pcnerd37 - Helo wants to go find Hera but Adama says a recon mission has already been sent.
• 9:40 PM pcnerd37 - He refuses to let him go and calls it a suicide mission.
• 9:40 PM pcnerd37 - He continues to plead with him to let him go.
• 9:41 PM pcnerd37 - Adama walks off.
• 9:41 PM pcnerd37 - We now see a funeral ceremony likely for those that died in the hull rupture.
• 9:42 PM pcnerd37 - The funeral ceremony ends.
• 9:42 PM pcnerd37 - Baltar speeks up. He says that death is not the end. He begins talking about eternal life that is for everybody.
• 9:43 PM pcnerd37 - He starts to say that Kara thrace is proof that there is life after death.
• 9:44 PM pcnerd37 - Adama tries to stop him but he keeps talking as Kara tries to walk off.
• 9:44 PM pcnerd37 - She then comes back and slaps him before walking off.
• 9:44 PM pcnerd37 - Adama dismisses everybody.
• 9:44 PM pcnerd37 - Commercial.
• 9:44 PM pcnerd37 - Lee doesnt seem to be going and continues to look at Baltar.
• 9:45 PM pcnerd37 - Im really liking tonight’s episode so far. Im really wondering how they can rap everything up in a 3 hour finale, even with a movie coming to tie up loose ends.
• 9:47 PM pcnerd37 - So, is anybody that is reading this going to Starfest this year?
• 9:48 PM pcnerd37 - And we are back
• 9:48 PM pcnerd37 - We see Kara looking at the Memory Wall and is approached by Lee.
• 9:48 PM pcnerd37 - He says he doesn’t care, he saw her viper explode. All that matters is that they are both there.
• 9:49 PM pcnerd37 - She smiles as he leaves.
• 9:49 PM pcnerd37 - She puts her picture on the memory wall
• 9:49 PM pcnerd37 - We now see some kind of freaky cylon ship like nothing ever seen before.
• 9:50 PM pcnerd37 - It looks like what you would imagine if the cylons were overtaken by the Borg.
• 9:50 PM pcnerd37 - We see Boomer and Hera land in it.
• 9:51 PM pcnerd37 - She hands Hera off to John. Apparently this was all part of a master plan.
• 9:51 PM pcnerd37 - We now see Adama walking through the halls of Galactica. He is taking off his admiral pips.
• 9:52 PM pcnerd37 - He holds them in his hand as he walks into something I am not sure what it is.
• 9:52 PM pcnerd37 - He begins painting and then throwing paint everywhere before falling to the floor and crying.
• 9:53 PM pcnerd37 - Kara is now talking to the offline Sam again.
• 9:53 PM pcnerd37 - She seems to have the music from Hera with her.
• 9:53 PM pcnerd37 - She wants to know why she is there. She says that she thinks there is a pattern in the music. She cant see it but she thinks he can. She plugs Sam back in.
• 9:54 PM pcnerd37 - We now see Adama trying to gather himself as Tigh walks in.
• 9:54 PM pcnerd37 - He tells Tigh that he is stopping all repairs on the ship.
• 9:54 PM pcnerd37 - He gives the order to start stripping Galactica and pack up weapons and gear.
• 9:55 PM pcnerd37 - Civilians will be gone tomorrow and everybody else by the end of the week. He gives the order to abandon ship.
• 9:55 PM pcnerd37 - Tigh won’t let him do it.
• 9:55 PM pcnerd37 - He says that Tigh was the finest friend and officer her ever had and that they will send the ship off in style.
• 9:56 PM pcnerd37 - They are now sitting on the couch talking about the ship and how great it was.
• 9:56 PM pcnerd37 - They toast.
• 9:56 PM pcnerd37 - That is it. That is all for tonight. Scenes from next week, the first hour of the 3 hour finale is next!
• 9:57 PM pcnerd37 - The paint seemed just like white paint to me.
• 9:57 PM pcnerd37 - As far as the movie goes, a movie is coming.
• 9:58 PM pcnerd37 - It is supposedly to wrap up some loose ends with the characters.
• 10:00 PM pcnerd37 - Ok, I couldn’t make much sense of next weeks episode except for the fact that something big is going to happen that will likely require a one way trip for Galactica.
• 10:00 PM pcnerd37 - We see Adama saying that nobody has to go along with it as it is likely a one way trip but otherwise I couldn’t really get a feel for what was going on.

Hey Readers!

3 blog posts so far today!  I am on a roll!

Anyway, I wanted to give a quick podcast and blog update.  Lets start with Global Geek News.  I have two shows in the can that I need to get uploaded today and tomorrow.  Sorry they haven’t gotten up sooner.  The show is going great though and we are looking for guests if anybody is interested.  Feel free to post in the comments or email me at pcnerd37@globalgeeknews.com if you are interested in beinga guest on the show.

Geek News Daily on the other hand has no episodes recorded.  I haven’t recorded any lately unfortunately but I will get some shows up this week.  I would have done some last week but I felt it was far too slow of a news week to do any shows.  This week is a bit hectic with a birthday, funeral and missing dog, but I will get some shows up.  I have noticed that suddenly the traffic has increased on the site for some reason and I want to take advantage of the traffic and hopefully turn it into new listeners.

As you have likely seen, I have started blogging often on here, or at least today and on Friday’s when I do my Battlestar Galactica Live Blog.  If you haven’t joined us for the live blog, you should!  I am live blogging all of the remaining episodes every Friday night at 10PM EST right here!  I am also looking for more shows or sports events to live blog, so if you have any suggestions, please post them in the comments.

Oh, and before I end, I do want to say that new posts will be coming to the Global Geek News Blog again starting today.  I also plan on starting a daily video on there in the very near future, likely next week if not sooner.  I know I have been saying this for a while, but its time I get off my lazy butt and just start doing it.  I also plan on doing some video blog posts here as well.

I lost my new dog

Hey readers!

I post on a slightly sad note today.  On Friday, I got a 4 year old Malamute by the name of Chewy.  We got the dog from a towing company in Denver.  Unfortunately we didn’t get to have him very long.

Friday night, close to midnight, the dog ran away.  Around midnight, a cop came to the neighborhood to break up a party going on at the house on the corner.  When he tried to break it up, everybody scattered and he chased one person through our backyard.  When he caught the person and left, he left the gate open and since the dog didn’t really realize that this was his new home, he ran away.  We spent an hour searching all of the surrounding blocks in hopes of finding him but found nothing.

We have spent the past two days repeatedly checking the animal shelter in hopes that he would turn up.  This morning I put an ad in the paper in hopes of having somebody find and return him.  I have also posted to craigslist.  I would post fliers too, but that is illegal around here.  We have done basically everything we can think of to find him.  I am going back to the animal shelter again today to look for him but I am not too optimistic at this point.

If I don’t hear anything from the newspaper ad in the next few days, I am likely going to get a new dog from the animal shelter since I already went and purchased all of the supplies for a dog.

This was the first time I have had a dog in a half dozen years or so and I was really excited to get the dog of my dreams (I am a huge huskey/malamute fan).

Web Developers Wanted!

Hello everybody!

Sorry for not posting other than the live blog lately.  I will get a few posts out this week as things have been a bit crazy and I feel like talking about them.

Anyway, on to the purpose of this post.  I need web developers!   Right now, I’m not sure what kind of skill set I am looking for as Im still in the process of fleshing out my idea.  Hopefully I will have a better idea of what I am looking for in the next few days but I know I will need somebody good with mysql for sure.  I don’t want to say too much about my idea at this point other than that it is targeting mobile developers.

• 8:44 PM pcnerd37 - Hello Will Fletcher, glad you are joining us tonight!
• 8:45 PM pcnerd37 - If anybody has any BSG related links, post them in the comments for everybody.
• 8:46 PM pcnerd37 - Tonight looks to be a very Kara Thrace centric episode which I am very excited about.
• 8:51 PM pcnerd37 - The only BSG related news I have this week (I will admit I didn’t really look for any) is that Katee Sackhoff will be appearing at this years Starfest in Denver.
• 8:52 PM pcnerd37 - 9 minutes!

• 9:04 PM pcnerd37 - Caprica six has apparently been elected to the quorem and wants the Sharon that shot Adama released to be tried for treason.

• 9:10 PM pcnerd37 - There doesnt seem to be much progress. There is brain function but the doctor doesn’t believe it is actual thought.

• 9:11 PM pcnerd37 - Now we see Kara in the bar complaining about the guy that is playing the piano
• 9:11 PM pcnerd37 - The bar is closing
• 9:12 PM pcnerd37 - She complains yet again about the guy playing the piano saying that he has to learn to play before he can compose. He suddenly starts playing something better.
• 9:12 PM pcnerd37 - We now see the chief working and thinking about Boomer.
• 9:12 PM pcnerd37 - He is now talking to her in bed.
• 9:13 PM pcnerd37 - This conversation between him and boomer seems to be taking place in his mind or in the past while playing some old memories of her in his mind.
• 9:13 PM pcnerd37 - All of the jumping around is making it very hard to live blog everything this week.
• 9:14 PM pcnerd37 - The power cuts out on him.
• 9:14 PM pcnerd37 - Kara is now watching Hera draw with crayons
• 9:15 PM pcnerd37 - She is also talking to Helo
• 9:15 PM pcnerd37 - She is given the drawing by Hera and leaves.
• 9:15 PM pcnerd37 - We now see the Sharon in the cell with the chief standing outside of it looking at her.
• 9:16 PM pcnerd37 - They both get on the phone.
• 9:16 PM pcnerd37 - He doesn’t know why he is there.
• 9:16 PM pcnerd37 - She says that when she shot the old man, she was thinking of him.
• 9:17 PM pcnerd37 - She felt betrayed by him.
• 9:17 PM pcnerd37 - She wanted to forget him.
• 9:17 PM pcnerd37 - The power flickers again.
• 9:17 PM pcnerd37 - They seem to be making up.

• 9:18 PM pcnerd37 - They “touch” through the glass which throws the chief into a house on Pikon with her.

• 9:24 PM pcnerd37 - We now see the final 4 cylons not in a coma in the bar talking about the trial of the Sharon.

• 9:24 PM pcnerd37 - Ellen and Tigh leave.
• 9:25 PM pcnerd37 - The chief is now back at the brig talking to Sharon.
• 9:25 PM pcnerd37 - They are talking about the past.
• 9:25 PM pcnerd37 - Apparently she had this fantasy of them built up in her head and wanted to share it with him.
• 9:26 PM pcnerd37 - The projection begins again. This time we see him opening some glass doors when she comes from behind and latches onto him.
• 9:26 PM pcnerd37 - He is now walking around the house and sees a height chart on the wall.
• 9:27 PM pcnerd37 - He now walks up stairs to see a child’s room.
• 9:27 PM pcnerd37 - We see what appears to be Hera sitting in a chair.
• 9:28 PM pcnerd37 - And now back to music with Kara and the piano player from the bar. He is trying to compose music while she lounges next to him drinking.
• 9:28 PM pcnerd37 - She says he is ripping off other composers
• 9:28 PM pcnerd37 - He says he looks to other composers for inspiration.
• 9:28 PM pcnerd37 - Kara’s dad used to play piano
• 9:29 PM pcnerd37 - She says she used to love his music.
• 9:29 PM pcnerd37 - Now we see a flashback of her as a child playing the piano.
• 9:29 PM pcnerd37 - She is talking about the songs her dad taught her.
• 9:29 PM pcnerd37 - Commercial.

• 9:33 PM pcnerd37 - Kara seems to be in one of the landing bays watching the child version of herself playing a piano.
• 9:34 PM pcnerd37 - When she tries to touch the child version of her, she wakes up.
• 9:34 PM pcnerd37 - Now she is asking the composer person how she could find her body and still be there. Is she a ghost or demon or something?
• 9:34 PM pcnerd37 - Until that point, she felt very clear. She thought she had purpose but now is lost again.
• 9:35 PM pcnerd37 - He says that just because she doesnt know her direction doesn’t mean she doesn’t have one.
• 9:35 PM pcnerd37 - The chief is asking a personal favor for the President not to sign Sharon’s extradition papers.
• 9:35 PM pcnerd37 - He is begging her not to sign them.
• 9:35 PM pcnerd37 - She signs them.
• 9:36 PM pcnerd37 - She dismisses him.
• 9:36 PM pcnerd37 - Adama is there too
• 9:36 PM pcnerd37 - The chief leaves
• 9:36 PM pcnerd37 - He seems distraught.
• 9:37 PM pcnerd37 - We now see cylon skin jobs working on ship repairs.
• 9:37 PM pcnerd37 - The chief grabs a pipe and loosens some kind of valve
• 9:37 PM pcnerd37 - We are now back with Kara and the piano player.
• 9:38 PM pcnerd37 - He is now talking about a past relationship. He left some girl because she wanted him to stop playing piano. She told him to get a real job.
• 9:38 PM pcnerd37 - Kara gets angry with him for ditching his family like her father did to her.
• 9:38 PM pcnerd37 - The power is back up which I’m guessing what the chief turned off.
• 9:39 PM pcnerd37 - Wow, the chief knocked out a sharon with the wrench he grabbed and swapped her for the in the brig.
• 9:39 PM pcnerd37 - The piano player is asking Kara to play what her father taught her. She wont because of what her dad did to her in leaving her and never coming back.
• 9:40 PM pcnerd37 - He is placing her hands on the keyboards which is causing flashbacks of when her father did that with her.
• 9:40 PM pcnerd37 - She beings to play and starts to cry.
• 9:40 PM pcnerd37 - She stops and tells him to play but he says he will play if she does.
• 9:40 PM pcnerd37 - We now see Boomber attack a sharon in the bathroom.

• 9:42 PM pcnerd37 - As much as I like the idea of having a bunch of identical skin jobs, its near impossible to tell them apart unless you are really paying attention as to which one is which.
• 9:43 PM pcnerd37 - I would say Katee Sackhoff is the hottest although from being around Grace Park at Starfest a few years ago, I will say she is very hot in person.
• 9:44 PM pcnerd37 - You could tell that the Sharons were swapped by the gash in the head of the one in the brig that he hit with the wrench.

• 9:44 PM pcnerd37 - We see Helo walk up on Sharon in the bathroom. He doesnt seem to realize its Boomer.
• 9:45 PM pcnerd37 - She starts making out with him.
• 9:45 PM pcnerd37 - He begins to undress her as we go back to the bar with 3 of the final 5 cylons. The chief is the missing one.
• 9:45 PM pcnerd37 - And now back with Helo and Boomer about to get it on…
• 9:45 PM pcnerd37 - Clothes are flying everywhere.
• 9:46 PM pcnerd37 - His sharen is gagged and bleeding in the stall and can kind of see them going at it through the door.
• 9:46 PM pcnerd37 - And now back to the piano.
• 9:47 PM pcnerd37 - Kara is trying to play but says something is missing. He is trying to figure out what it is.
• 9:47 PM pcnerd37 - Kara realizes something about the drawing from Hera. Apparently it is musical notes.
• 9:48 PM pcnerd37 - The drawing just looks like dots until she thinks about it as music. He sees it and starts playing and tells her to jump in when she is ready.
• 9:48 PM pcnerd37 - We now see the Boomer picking up Hera from daycare saying that she forgot about her physical.
• 9:48 PM pcnerd37 - The final 3 cylons in the bar seem to recgonize the music and look in Kara’s direction.
• 9:49 PM pcnerd37 - Tigh seems to be the most struck by the music.
• 9:49 PM pcnerd37 - They recognize the song from something as they stop playing.
• 9:50 PM pcnerd37 - Tigh asks her where she learned to play it. She says she played it as a child. They want to know who drew the notes as she looks at the crayon drawing.
• 9:51 PM pcnerd37 - The chief and Boomer are talking in a raptor when the projection kicks in again and they are making out in their house.
• 9:52 PM pcnerd37 - We now have Helo giving a briefing when the beat up sharon shows up and tells him that it was the Boomer in the locker room and wants to know if she has Hera.
• 9:52 PM pcnerd37 - Helo tells everybody to be alerted and look for her and Hera.
• 9:53 PM pcnerd37 - Adama knows that Boomer is in a raptor in the tube. She has fired up engines.
• 9:53 PM pcnerd37 - They launch a viper and get ready to attack if she leaves. She says they wont shoot her because she has Hera.
• 9:54 PM pcnerd37 - the flight pods which im guessing is another word for viper are stopped as she spools up her FTL drive in the ship.
• 9:54 PM pcnerd37 - She hits something going out of the ship and is damaged. She jumps so close to the ship that it does some severe damage to Galactica.
• 9:55 PM pcnerd37 - The President who is in her quarters says Hera and then seems to be laying on the floor.
• 9:55 PM pcnerd37 - The chief is trying to do damage control.
• 9:55 PM pcnerd37 - The chief is now told that Boomer has Hera.
• 9:56 PM pcnerd37 - Ellen and Tigh are sitting in the day care talking about some major conspiracy to get Hera.
• 9:56 PM pcnerd37 - She says that maybe Sam can help them if he ever wakes up.
• 9:56 PM pcnerd37 - Kara is laying with Sam
• 9:56 PM pcnerd37 - The chief is wandering around the ship and then in the house projection.
• 9:57 PM pcnerd37 - He goes into Hera’s room and crys.
