I came across a picture on FriendFeed a little bit ago that is a giant wall of bananas.  I figured I would blog the picture so that everybody can see one of the many ways you can waste a bunch of perfectly good bananas.  Here is the picture!

There seems to be a fascination on the internet about finding big screen blue screen of death images.  Whether its at the Olympics or in Times Square, everybody wants to see a BSOD hit a large screen, or any screen that isn’t their own.  Today, we have the next best thing.  A virus alert has now been spotted on a large screen.  Check it out!

I came across this rather disturbing story on FriendFeed about some unofficial LEGOs made by a company called BrickArms.  What is so disturbing?  The LEGO figures are of terrorists, Nazi soldiers and much more. They also come with weapons.  Here are the pictures.

These are just a few of the many custom LEGOs they make.  They also have tons of weapons that you can outfit your lego people with.  To see their site and all they have to offer, you can head to BrickArms.

According to The Sun, LEGO UK says that they are in no way affiliated with BrickArms as they do not create toys with the same philosophy as LEGO.

Personally, I find turning terrorist and mass murderers into toys a tad disturbing.  I think that LEGO should try to sue them out of existance.  That said, I feel the urge to play with these toys as I enjoy all things WWII.

I came across this cool little test to determine just how dangerous of a driver you are.  I figured I would share the test with others to see how other people scored compared to myself.  I scored a 72% B and was considered a little risk.  How dangerous are you?

I just thought I would share how much I love Wordpress.

WordPress is what I use for all my blogs and podcasts with the exception of the Geek Podcasting Network, and I really love it.  Considering all of my sites used to be done by hand in html, having a great CMS like Wordpress is a great thing.  It has made managing old content and editing and creating new content so much easier, its a wonder I didn’t use it sooner.  I also like being able to ad all kinds of plugins to bring functionality to my sites as well as get it my own personal feel.

Speaking of how much I love WordPress (I can’t wait for 2.7 to be released), it looks like I might be using it to create a website for a local association.  Their old website is horrible and they got a quote from one guy who wants $800 to do a new website, but thanks to WordPress, I plan to put in my own bid for much lower to try to make me some money and get some WordPress converts at the same time.  If all goes well, I should know something by early to mid January.

Anyway, that is just my thoughts on how much WordPress has simplified my online life and how I hope to use it to make me some money in the near future.

Until last night, it had been a long time since I blogged on here.  I figured I would give everybody an update as to what is going on with me.

The Geek News Daily podcast is going strong, and is daily right now.  Once in a while I end up missing like a week or something, but it is going strong with episode #43 being released later today.  I should have some intro’s and outro’s recorded this week to start putting in the show.  I am also looking into the idea of doing a video version of the show although I seem to be having issues since I live stream the recording of the show at GeekNewsDailyLive.com.  I am also still working on trying to get a stable recording time so that people can know when to expect the stream, but since I record at work, I don’t know if that will be possible as I never know when that opportunity will come.

As far as Global Geek News goes, I hope to start the podcast back in the next week or so.  When I start it back, I will likely go solo for the first episode or two and then start bringing guests on after that.  I hope for that to be a Friday release but I am not sure yet.  I am also looking to do a short, daily video on Global Geek News with content similar to the Global Geek News Blog.  I have a little bit of work to do before I get the video up and running I think, but I hope to have that going before Christmas.  Speaking of the Global Geek News Blog, that is going very strong!  I am getting more average daily reads now than ever before and it continues to grow like crazy.  I took about a week break from blogging on there last week but I put up two posts last night and will try to do that many or more today.  From now on, it is my goal to do at least one post a day on there.  Make sure to check it out when you have a chance as it is something I am very proud of.

I am also looking to devote some time to doing some programming for Android applications, so I am trying to find a good balance between podcasting, blogging and programming.  If something begins to suffer, I will try to adjust as I think I can do all three but it won’t be easy as I already work 45 hours a week.

Anyway, that is just an update about what is going on and some things to come.  I will be blogging here more today, so stay tuned!

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted, I just kind of forgot about this blog while I work on my podcasts and other blogs.  That will change starting tonight!  I will try to do at least one or more posts every day with various cool things I find around the internet and my thoughts about some things.  Anyway, I came across this very scary image that somebody has made of Mickey Mouse and it got me wondering, what would cartoons be like if this is how Mickey Mouse originally looked like this?

I happened to come across a really cool video this morning of a disappearing pool table.  I would love to have something like this in my house.  If I could even get a pool table in my house I would be happy, rather less one that disappears.  This is definitely a feature of my dream house.  Here is the awesome video!

I am curious to know how much something like this costs as it can’t be cheap.
