The KFC incident

Hey readers!

Despite the fact that I love their food, I find that it is time that I write about the stupidity that goes on at the local KFC.

Before I get into the story, I should say that judging from the history of employees at this particular KFC, I believe there is a job requirement that says you cant work there if you dont have an IQ below 50.

Anyway, I just got back to work from a very irritating encounter with KFC.  I gave my order and everything seemed to be going about as good as it could for a place employeed by a whole new species of stupid.  I was then told that they had no maceroni and cheese which is what my boss ordered.  I figured ok and called the boss to see what he wanted instead.  After I got the order and got back to work, I realized that the boneless feiry buffalo wings that I had ordered were not that at all.  They were very cold boned wings with no sauce at all.  At this point I am so irritated having paid $14 for food I didn’t get, I told the boss I will be back shortly, im going back to get what I ordered.

So after wasting my gas yet again to go get what I ordered, I find the idiot that waited on me waiting on somebody in the drive through.  With all of the other employees having disappeared, he completely ignored me until he was finished with the customers he was dealing with.  At this point, I hurled the box of wings onto the counter in his direction to which he immediately went and got the manager when he saw how pissed off I was.  I proceeded to fill the manager in on what was going on to be told that I would have to wait 10 minutes to get my order to which I said “fine, if I wasted my gas to get over here, im getting what I ordered.”  After he went to go start the new batch, I was then told that they were now out of the boneless wings.  At this point, I said screw this, give me my money back and I will take my business elsewhere.

After 3 or 4 minutes of the manager fiddling with the cash register, I got my money back and returned to work.  I now have no food, no gas and a slightly irritated boss.  As my way of saying ‘Thank You’ to this KFC, I will be reporting them to the local health department for the way in which they keep their establishment.

Blogging my trip to San Francisco for the TechCrunch50 Conference

Hey readers!

I figured I would give everybody a heads up that I will be blogging my entire trip next week to San Francisco.  From my adventures in the airports to the Nightwish concert on Friday night, I will be blogging everything!  All of the technology related stuff that I will blog about in relation to the TechCrunch50 will be posted on the Global Geek News Blog.  I will likely be doing some other posts here as well but the main technology posts will take place there.

Also, I am planning on still doing the Geek News Daily podcast every day while I am there or at least as much as possible.  If you haven’t been listening to the show since I restarted it, I highly recommend it.  This of course will depend on internet access more than anything, but I will do my best to have a show every day although I don’t know what time the shows will be up by.

I will also try to resurrect the Global Geek News podcast while on my trip, so keep an eye out for that.

I will be Twittering when new blog posts are up as well as just about everything else that happens, so if you aren’t following me on Twitter, this would be a great time to start!

If you have anything in particular that you want to know about that is presented at the conference or have questions you want me to ask some of those in attendance, you can email me at pcnerd37@globalgeeknews.com or just post your questions in the comments.
