pcnerd37Rants heat, hot, sleeping, swamp cooler, weather
Hey readers!
I don’t know how weather is where you live, but here it is hotter than normal. It has been in the 100+ degree range for quite a while now, which is not normal. While it is usually in the 90s this time of year, it is rarely this hot. This heat is one of the primary reasons I am planning to move from Colorado to Seattle.
Not only do I hate being hot, sweaty and generally uncomfortable, but I cannot sleep well when its this hot. When its this hot, I often wake up during the night and can’t sleep in. I hate it, especially on the weekends when I am able to sleep in but still wake up at 7am if not before.
The swamp cooler doesn’t seem to be helping as much as I would like. If you have any advice on keeping cool, especially while sleeping, I would love to hear it.

pcnerd37blog, Global Geek News Chick-Fil-A, family, Global Geek News, pizza, podcasts, wedding, X Games
Hey everybody!
First, let me start off saying Im sorry I dont blog as much as I should on here (although I do on the Global Geek News Blog). Things are starting to ease up on me, so hopefully I can start posting at least once a day as well as picking back up on my podcasts.
Now that that is out of the way, I ended up spending most of Saturday at my cousins wedding. After spending part of my Saturday morning doing yard work, I ended up going to Colorado Springs for my cousin, Dillon’s wedding. Not being a fan of weddings, I really didn’t want to go but figured it wouldn’t be a good decision to stay home and watch the X Games. In the end, I am glad I went to the wedding, even if I did miss my favorite events of the X Games. It was a big, fancy wedding that turned out very nice. While it had a couple of things I saw as unnecessary, it was a fairly short wedding which was nice. After the wedding, the church was quickly turned into a big dining area while every went to get food. The speed at which they turned it into a complete dining area with centerpieces and everything was really impressive. Of course the food was my favorite part of the wedding. It was catered by Chick-Fil-A, my favorite fast food place.
After the wedding and everything was over and cleaned up, all of the extended family went out for dinner at which I had a great pizza. It made for a fun day of meeting people and hanging out with family I actually like. While Im still not a wedding fan, this was probably one of the best I have been to. I am a big fan of short weddings with good food.
